IN THIS POST: Everything you need to make Roasted Rosemary Almonds

Ingredients

  • raw almonds
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • rosemary – fresh or dried
  • sea salt
  • cayenne pepper – optional
a bowl of almonds and a sprig of rosemary on a table.

Instructions for this recipe

This recipe is super simple with very little prep time. Perfect for the busy holiday season!

First, preheat the oven.

Next, add the almonds to a mixing bowl.

Then sprinkle on the salt and cayenne if you’re using it. Cayenne is spicy so if you aren’t a fan of spice you can omit it or use just a tiny pinch for some heat.

Next, pour the olive oil over the almonds.

Then the star of the show – the rosemary! I love using fresh rosemary for aromatherapy.

It is my absolute favorite.

Finally, stir it all together.

I use a big spoon and make sure that each and every almond is well coated.

Spread the coated almonds in a single layer onto a baking sheet ready to toast.

Roast the almonds in the oven for about ten minutes. Remember to take deep breaths and inhale the aroma of the rosemary.

It is so invigorating.

  1. Can’t wait to try this recipe. I know I can adapt the cayenne pepper to my taste, but is it really a full tablespoon of cayenne pepper?

    1. You are right – it should be a teaspoon! Thanks so much for pointing that out. Even a teaspoon is pretty spicy. 😉 Thanks again!

  2. ingredient list of 2 sprigs fresh rosemary ‘finely’ chopped does not match picture instructions, where the rosemary is barely chopped at all. It may sound like i am being pedantic but these details are actually important to the flavour outcome when something is being roasted.

  3. 5 stars
Yummy! I buy rosemary marcona almonds from Trader Joes all of the time because they are extremely addicting so I know these are amazing. They make a perfect quick snack!

    1. I have definite Trader Joe envy! Is it strange that when I plan travel to U.S cities one of the first things I look up are the grocery stores? Ha!
