First, start by mashing the banana. Get out most of lumps with a fork or masher.

Using super-ripe bananas really works to your advantage. Not only are they extra sweet, but they also mash and blend much easier.

Next, add the oats and chia seeds to a bowl and stir together. We use a small mixing bowl for this.

Then, add the rest of the ingredients. Give it all a good stir to combine everything well.

Cover the bowl tightly with a lid or wrap and refrigerate for at least five hours—or overnight! Stir again before serving.

Portion into two bowls and garnish with your favorite toppings, such as sliced bananas and peanut butter granola.
