First, start by shredding the cabbage. Add it to the mixing bowl.

Next, thinly slice the onions and add them to the bowl.

Then, mince the garlic and transfer it to the mixing bowl also.

Next, the fresh lime juice. Follow that up with a couple of pinches of sea salt and pepper.

Finally, give the mixture a good toss. You can use salad tongs or the ultimate tools: your hands!

Cover and chill for at least 4 hours - overnight is better! Enjoy as a BBQ side  dish or burger/taco topping.
