Parmesan Crusted Chicken - Oven Baked Recipe

This Oven Baked Parmesan Crusted Chicken recipe wins over kids and adults with a crispy, chewy coating and delicious, cheesy flavor. This mayo parmesan chicken is easy to make with very little prep work. Perfect for a busy weeknight.

  • Preheat the oven to 375 and grease an 8x8 oven-proof casserole dish - I use an avocado spray. Place the chicken breasts in the dish and season with sea salt and fresh pepper. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl mix together the onions, mayo, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder.
  • Spoon a dollop of the cheese mixture onto each chicken breast and spread it evenly to fully cover the surface of the chicken.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 45 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through to 165°F.

  • Use an instant read thermometer to check the temperature of the chicken to ensure it is cooked thoroughly to 165 degrees F.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley for some color.
  • Serve with Butternut Squash Noodles, Herbed Rice, or mashed potatoes. It is also lovely paired with salads like a Caesar salad or Broccoli Salad.
  • Substitute the full chicken breasts with thinner chicken cutlets for quicker cooking time.
  • Swap out the mayo for natural Greek yogurt for a lightened-up version.
