A sweet maple glaze gives this weeknight chicken dish top-notch flavor. This easy Maple Glazed Chicken is a quick recipe that is definitely a family favorite.
In a cast iron pan (or another oven-proof skillet) heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the rinsed and patted dry chicken with sea salt and pepper and add them to the hot pan.
Flip the chicken after 4-5 minutes and let it cook on the other side for another 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set it aside.
Add the water, being careful as the pan is still hot and it could spit up at you, and steam will be released. Add the maple syrup, along with the garlic, rosemary, and parsley. Stir well and bring to a low boil.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the vinegar and mustard.
Add the chicken back to the pan and baste well with the sauce. Pop into the oven for 15 minutes, turning and basting 2 or 3 times.
Check the temperature of the chicken to ensure it is cooked and remove it from the oven. Transfer chicken to plates and stir the remaining sauce. Drizzle the sauce over your dish and enjoy.
