Boil 2 cups of water.
Meanwhile, place the butterfly pea flowers into a tea bag or mesh strainer. Place the bag in a teapot.
Pour the boiling water over the tea bag and steep for 3-5 minutes.
Remove the tea bag and discard. Add the sweetener to taste.
Pour the tea into a mug and enjoy. For iced tea place the pot in the fridge for 30 minutes to an hour, then pour over ice cubes.
