  • Preheat the oven to 325° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set it aside.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the maple syrup with the cayenne pepper and a pinch of salt.
  • Add the pecans into the bowl and stir, mixing well to coat the nuts.
  • Dump the coated pecans onto the prepared baking sheet and spread them into a single layer.
  • Roast for 20 minutes, stirring at the halfway mark to make sure nothing burns.
  • Remove from the oven and stir again. Let them cool on the pan for another 10 minutes.
