Instructions

  • Start by splitting the dates open and removing any pits.
  • Next, lay the dates on a parchment-lined baking sheet, overlapping them slightly so they connect when pressed on. We did five rows of five dates in each row.
  • Then, lay another piece of parchment paper on top of the dates. Press down firmly on the paper, pressing the dates as flat as possible. You can use your hands or the flat bottom of a heavy glass.
  • Next, gently peel off the top layer of parchment paper.
  • Then, spread the peanut butter evenly on top of the flattened date layer.
  • Next, sprinkle on the peanuts.
  • Then, melt the chocolate. We use a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring the chocolate chips with a spatula until they are melted and smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate on top of the peanut layer and gently spread it out evenly with a spatula.
  • Next, sprinkle the chocolate with flaky sea salt.
  • Place the tray into the freezer for 30 minutes to set. Break it into pieces and enjoy!
