This Maple Roasted Carrots recipe is the perfect balance of sweetness with a hint of spice. It's a delicious addition to your collection of go-to side dishes, perfect for any occasion from family dinners to holiday gatherings.
Start by preheating your oven to 400° and lining a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add the maple syrup, butter, sugar, garlic, salt, and chili flakes to a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Simmer until the butter has melted and the mixture is smooth.
Place the carrots onto the prepared baking sheet and pour the maple glaze mixture overtop. Stir well to coat the carrots.
Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring the carrots every 8-10 minutes to make sure nothing burns. Once the carrots are fork-tender, they are ready.
Sprinkle with a pinch of flaked sea salt (optional) and serve warm.
