Top Five Viral Honour System Recipes
Happy Monday! I’m taking a break from the Instant Pot posts to share with you my Top Five Viral Honour System Recipes. People have been clicking on these particular posts in droves. Take a minute to scroll through and see if there is anything YOU like.
If you read my new year’s day post, you would know I had been slacking in the blogging department for most of 2016.
However, it is a new year and my commitment to this space has been back in full force. Thankfully, all of the hard work I have poured into the Honour System in the first 2-3 years has really paid off and I continued to see traffic to the website last year, mostly thanks to a few ‘viral’ posts that have kept people coming to visit.
What’s viral recipe, you may ask?
Well, as a blogger, these posts are the holy grail. When you have a recipe go viral it generally means a huge spike in traffic on that page usually due to some kind of social media share. It also helps if the content is also ‘evergreen’. That means something that will continue to remain useful over time and not just a passing trend.
Let’s get started!

Thanks to shares on a million different spaghetti squash roundup lists, this super easy recipe featuring leftover squash has brought a lot of people to visit. I love topping the fried squash with yolky eggs, like poached or over easy.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chickpea Bars
These babies take time to bake but your reward is nothing short of a chocolate chip cookie bar miracle! 😉 Basically a sweet hummus baked into a bar. No one will know there is chickpeas in it. I swear.

My first viral recipe! For good reason, I might add. It’s such a winner. So easy, so tasty and an instant classic. Other variations include Chicken Avocado Salad.

This one kind of makes me laugh. The image is pretty dull and not really one I’m that proud of, but this post the second highest traffic generator on the Honour System! Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great recipe and making your own Ranch dressing is empowering (no joke 😉 ), it’s just not my best photography.
And … drum roll, please …

Thanks to a combination of Yummly and Pinterest, this flavourful dinner option is my number one post by a whole bunch. It’s hundreds of thousands above the rest! I love it and make it often. Can you say leftovers? I can. They are my favourite lunch. 🙂
Hope you enjoyed the list and maybe find something new to try.
See you next week!
