First, preheat the oven and grease an oven-proof casserole dish. You can use melted butter and olive oil or cooking spray.
Second, place the breasts in the dish in a single layer and season with a few pinches of sea salt and a couple of grinds of fresh pepper. Set this aside.
Next, make the mixture for the parmesan crust.
Then, in a shallow bowl mix together the onions, mayo, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder.
Next, add an even dollop of the cheese mixture to each chicken breast and spread it evenly to fully cover the surface of the chicken.
