Ingredients
- olive oil
- boneless chicken breasts
- water
- maple syrup
- garlic puree or garlic cloves minced
- dried rosemary
- dried parsley
- apple cider vinegar
- balsamic vinegar
- mustard
- salt and pepper
Instructions for this recipe
First, in a cast iron (or another oven-proof pan) heat the olive oil over medium heat on the stovetop.
Then pat the chicken dry, season the chicken with salt and pepper, and add to the hot large skillet.
Flip the chicken after 4-5 minutes and let it cook on the other side for another 4-5 minutes. You are looking to add some nice color to it but not fully cook it through.
Then transfer the golden brown chicken to a plate and set aside.
Next, add water, and maple syrup, along with the garlic, rosemary, and parsley.
Stir well, scraping up the browned bits, and bring to a low boil.
Then reduce the heat and stir in the vinegar and mustard.
Finally, you are left with a really delicious sauce to glaze the chicken with.
Add the chicken back into the pan and baste it well with the sauce.
Let the sauce simmer a bit while you preheat the oven to 375.
Lastly, pop the pan into the oven for 15 minutes, turning and basting 2 or 3 times while it cooks.

Easy Maple Glazed Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 4 chicken breasts
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 ½ tbsp roasted garlic puree or 3 minced garlic cloves
- 2 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp stone ground mustard
- sea salt and fresh pepper *to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375.
- In a cast iron pan (or another oven-proof skillet) heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the rinsed and patted dry chicken with sea salt and pepper and add them to the hot pan.
- Flip the chicken after 4-5 minutes and let it cook on the other side for another 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set it aside.
- Add the water, being careful as the pan is still hot and it could spit up at you, and steam will be released. Add the maple syrup, along with the garlic, rosemary, and parsley. Stir well and bring to a low boil.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the vinegar and mustard.
- Add the chicken back to the pan and baste well with the sauce. Pop into the oven for 15 minutes, turning and basting 2 or 3 times.
- Check the temperature of the chicken to ensure it is cooked and remove it from the oven. Transfer chicken to plates and stir the remaining sauce. Drizzle the sauce over your dish and enjoy.
