Easy Lemon and Garlic Dressing
This Easy Lemon and Garlic Dressing is sugar-free, making it Whole 30 friendly and a great salad dressing you can make in under five minutes!
Since there are no rays of sunshine streaming through my curtains, I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands.
I’m going to create a little light with this tart, garlicky salad dressing.
First, I’ll let you in on a little secret. I’ve been following the Whole 30 for the month.
If you haven’t heard of it, check out the details of the challenge –> here.
Today is Day 8.
One of the first rules of the Whole 30 is NO SUGAR. None at all, even the whole food varieties like honey and maple syrup. So far, I’ve gotten creative with dates and eaten a ton of nuts. I’ve demolished a pretty large container of macadamias from Costco already and we are only seven days in. Ruh, roh. 😉
It’s all good, though. Healthy fats are welcome. Avocados, you’re next.
EASY LEMON & GARLIC DRESSING
Typically I add in a bit of sweetness in my homemade dressings, so this Easy Lemon & Garlic Dressing something new.
I love the tartness, and the garlic along with a bit of mustard added just enough punch. Just make sure there is no sugar on that mustard label!
Prep is shaking it in a jar. I know, so easy. 😉
This dressing held up nicely to my salad blend which included arugula and spinach.
It was a great Whole 30 option along with a chicken breast, which was my lunch one afternoon and then I had it with another giant salad and some scrambled eggs one evening for a quick dinner.
Perfection.
The colour was such a lovely pale yellow.
Can’t wait for the sunshine to fill the room with the same brightness.
Come on spring! 🙂

Delicious! People asked for the recipe and I’m making it for Easter.
Awesome Colleen! I appreciate that. Have a wonderful Easter. 🙂
This is a great recipe – any chance you can let me know how to make a big batch to keep in a mason jar.
Thank you
I haven’t doubled this myself but I’m sure doubling or tripling the recipe should work. Please come back and let us know if you try it!
Tasted fabulous!
So happy you enjoyed! 🙂
How amazing is this dressing and such a lovely colour too!!!
Thanks Shy! The sunny yellow is my favourite part. 🙂
This is definitely a ray of sunshine right now! And good for you for giving up sugar – I don’t know that I could! But I definitely will to make this – yum! It’s going on my menu this week cause I love not only how healthy it is, but how easy it is!
We can always use some sun out here on the “wet coast”. 😉 The sugar beast is definitely a challenge to tame but this dressing luckily makes the salad part easy. Thanks Terri!
This is such a nice, fresh salad dressing that will be great on a variety of fresh greens and veggies! I’m glad you’ve left the sugar out.
Sugar free is sometimes so hard to find! Thanks Cathy! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 🙂
What a beautiful color! Like a sunshiny day! Pretty easy and quick, it surely brings flavor to many dishes!
Gotta love easy and quick, right? Thanks guys!
Such a simple yet delicious dressing. Homemade is so easy, and so much tastier, and I wouldn’t miss the sugar. Love the sunny yellow colour!
The colour is my favourite thing to! Especially with the clouds that rolled into Vancouver today. 😉 Thanks Colleen!
