IN THIS POST: Everything you need to make Green Apple Juice
Ingredients for this recipe
- green apples – slightly sweet and tangy taste
- lemons – adds some zing
- limes – this gives the juice some tartness
First, prepare the fruit.
You can’t just toss everything into the juicer as the rind from the citrus fruit will alter the flavor.
You also want to remove the seeds from the apples. Apple seeds contain amygdalin which could be dangerous when metabolized in your digestive system. It would probably take a whole lotta them but to be on the safe side we remove the seeds.
Then, once the fruit has been prepped, add the pieces one by one to the funnel of the juicer and press them down with the pusher. The juice comes out into the container that is positioned under the spout.
This is the juice and froth that separates from it. The container has a filter on it that holds back the foam from going into your glass when you pour it out.
Enjoy this juice at room temperature or over ice with a twist.
I use a Breville Juice Fountain Plus and highly recommend it!
FAQs, Tips, and Substitutions
- How does green apple juice taste? It has a refreshing tart flavor. The green apples are crisp and slightly sweet and the lemon and lime add a bit of sweet and sour.
- Is green apple juice good for weight loss? Apple juice has both dietary fiber and flavonoids which both can aid in weight loss.
- Can I make fresh juice in a blender? You can but the consistency will be more like a smoothie. A juicer extracts the juice and separates it from the pulp.
- Fresh juices are best to enjoy right away but you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 24-48 hours.
- If you find this blend a little too tart, spoon in a bit of honey to sweeten it up.
- Substitute kiwi instead lime for subtle sweetness.

Brilliant juice recipe. And you’re right — fresh fruit is darn beautiful on its own!
So nice! I love the word brilliant. 🙂

You’ve just made my day 🙂
I’m so glad! I’m more of a pool person, myself. Not nuts about sand. 😉 But I’m right there with you. Relaxing in the sun. Ahhhhh…. To bad I’m actually working. sad face.
Looks delicious and so refreshing. My husband has wanted to get a juicer for a long time. I’ll have to look at this one 😀
We are loving the juicer so far. I’ll be doing a post soon-ish on the pro and cons. I wanted to give it a few weeks of juicing to give a well rounded opinion, so stay tuned! 🙂
