Get ready to treat your tastebuds to this spicy southwest ranch dressing recipe. I’m a big fan of creamy, smoky dips and dressings so this is a favourite of mine.

You might ask what is the best store bought ranch dressing? My answer is you should try to make your own! It really isn’t hard and you control all of the ingredients which I love.

What even is ranch dressing? It’s a creamy based dressing with a few seasonings. We can totally make that ourselves.

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE SPICY RANCH DRESSING

Here are the ingredients for my spicy chipotle ranch dressing:

  • sour cream
  • mayonnaise
  • fresh lemon juice
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • dried dill
  • coarsely ground pepper
  • adobe sauce from a can of chipotle peppers

My secret ingredient of using the adobe sauce is what makes this the best spicy ranch dressing recipe. It is so smoky delicious!

Check this out! This is the ingredient list from Kraft’s Ranch Dressing –>

Ingredients: Canola Oil, Buttermilk (Milk Solids, Salt, Bacterial Culture), Water, Egg Yolks, Vinegar, Sugar, Salt, Garlic Juice, Dried Buttermilk, Natural Flavours, Xanthan Gum (Thickener), Phosphoric Acid (Enhances Tartness), Spices, Yeast Extract (Natural Flavour Enhancer), Dried Parsley, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Silicon Dioxide, (B466A) Contains: Milk, Egg.

My ingredient list is shorter and much easier to pronounce. And nothing named B466A. Amazing! And isn’t it kind of fun to make your own? I take a lot of pride in it.

Wow Wow Wow, we made this sauce last night and had it with fried calamari for starters for date night in lockdown lol
It was an amazing combination of lemon, garlic and spices just gave it that perfect taste with the calamari:)
Thank you so much for sharing, superb!!

Awesome! What type of vegan products do you use? Are they nut-based?

So… this sauce is incredible on burgers!! We love the flavor the adobe sauce gives. I had some leftover aioli to use in place of mayo, so everything was extra homemade and special. Thanks for making dinner over the top. Nothing like the perfect condiment to make a meal memorable.
