So, considering there is only one ingredient, this is technically not even a recipe, per se. However, in case you have not heard of this beauty of an idea that took the blog world by storm, I feel it is my duty to share.
It’s ridiculously simple, absolutely satisfying and very adaptable. To give you an idea of how rich and ice cream like this is, when I served it to Joe for the first time he would not believe me that it was just bananas. “Really? Just bananas? No cream? No milk? Just bananas?” My advice is to test this out on your loved ones as well and watch their amazement when you tell them the one and only ingredient. It’s pretty fun:)
All you need is a nice brown banana cut up into slices and frozen.
Pop the slices into your trusty food processor and pulse away. You will need to scrape down the sides a couple of times.
Look how creamy it’s getting!
You will know when you are done once it becomes the consistency of soft serve ice cream.
Look how velvety and delicious!
This is a great little idea that will satisfy your sweet tooth as it is, but can also be made into so much more by adding chocolate chips, drizzling melted chocolate or peanut butter over it, swirl in some chopped nuts or fruit, or be totally daring and serve it with some Baileys or Drambuie! There are endless possibilties. I’m even considering slapping some between my double dark chocolate sour cream cookies and making banana ‘ice cream’ sandwiches! Yum!
This is a must try. Get those bananas freezing people!
